New Wispact Board Chair, Blaine Patiño, Canellos and Patiño, LLC

Blaine Patiño We are thrilled to announce Blaine Patiño as the Chair of the Wispact Board of Directors for 2025. Blaine has been a valued member of our Board since joining in July 2022, and his extensive expertise in estate planning, special needs planning, and guardianships makes him exceptionally well-suited for this leadership role.

Blaine is a partner at Canellos & Patiño, LLC, based in Wauwatosa, where he specializes in helping families and individuals navigate the complexities of estate planning. His educational foundation includes a law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison and an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. With a strong connection to Wisconsin’s communities, Blaine has built his career around advocating for those with unique needs.

At Wispact, Blaine has already made significant contributions, particularly through his work on our Retained Fund Committee. His commitment to ensuring our resources are managed responsibly and strategically has been instrumental in advancing our mission of improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities across Wisconsin. Blaine’s professional affiliations, including his active membership in the Wisconsin chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and the State Bar of Wisconsin Elder Law Special Needs Section, as well as his role as a frequent presenter for these organizations, demonstrate his dedication to staying at the forefront of best practices in this important field.

As we welcome Blaine into this new role, we look forward to his leadership in driving our mission forward. At Wispact, our goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live more independently by providing financial security through special needs trusts. Blaine’s expertise and passion for advocating for these individuals will undoubtedly enhance our ability to serve our beneficiaries and their families.

We are confident that his leadership will help us build on our strong foundation and create even greater opportunities for those we serve.
